Fine glitter - onyx, white gold, Florentine gold, sterling
Coarse glitter - crystal
Glittering glue - optional
Glitter tray and rack
See the Supply List for items you can purchase here. You will also need:
Glass hurricane glasses
Double-sided tacky tape with red liner, various widths
Foam brush - optional
Cover your work area with newspaper to help catch stray glitter. Apply tape vertically onto the hurricane glass, alternating tape widths—we used 1/2 inch and 1 inch. Trim tape at the top and bottom of the glass. Keep backing on until you are ready to apply glitter.
Working over the glitter tray, apply one glitter color at a time. Remove the tape backing on every other piece of tape and pour glitter over the tape.
Repeat the process with other glitter colors until the glass is completely covered.
For a more opaque look, brush glue over the glitter stripes and apply a second glitter layer. Apply one color at a time, allow to dry, and then proceed with the next color.
