Simplicity Pattern 4092 Misses' Costumes is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not that bad I made this so I could have an Elizabeth Swann dress for Comic Con and so I could have a faux Martha Washington costume for school. Although definitely a pattern for advanced sewers, I didn't find the instructions that difficult to follow. However, I did modify the pattern making the stomacher a separate piece from the rest of the dress, so it could fit a larger range of people, so perhaps I didn't run into the bad parts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to follow directions, easy to modify pattern Used this pattern for a Hamilton musical cosplay, and found it incredibly easy to modify (made long sleeves instead of the flounce, did a two-colour stomacher/bodice) though I did make a mock-up of the modifications first. The pattern makes for an easy to sew/easy to put on costume (though obviously not a historically accurate one), and I'm looking forward to modifying it again to make a separate overdress/stomacher version without the zipper for a slightly more accurate version.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for cosplayer with intermediate skills I was very pleased with the way my costume turned out. I made mine out of a home decor embroidered brocade. I didn't like how the stomacher (center piece) turned out. It seemed too pointy at the bottom

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Pattern This is a great pattern!!! I am a costume designer and seamstress and have used this pattern dozens of times for dresses in different shows. Very easy to build and alter - a great period dress pattern.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work I tried this pattern in hopes of making myself a better 18th century costume for a party I got invited to. The bodice pieces are incredibly confusing and don't match up. The position of the boning isn't right. Overall the bodice is a disaster. I didn't even bother continuing with the pattern of how flawed it was.
