Rated 4 out of 5 by JulesKelly from Lot of work but finished product is amazing If you are wanting to make an eye-catching fantasy costume and have the time and skill required to make this, then I would highly recommend this pattern. I used this pattern to create a Lady Loki cosplay for San Diego Comic Con. I've been sewing for about 12 years, and this was definitely the most advanced pattern I've worked with. I worked on this for about 2-3 months, so it is quite the time commitment. However, the finished product looks great and I received A LOT of compliments at comic con. My major complaint about patterns is that the instructions are often hard to comprehend. They tend to make things more complicated than they should be. There were a few instances of that in this pattern, but nothing I couldn't figure out after some trail and error. I was expecting to be confused by a lot of the instructions, but they are a lot easier to comprehend than I anticipated. The only step I would add to this pattern is shaping the hip armor with heat and then gluing some fabric onto the back to give it some stiffness. The costume looks fine without it, but I think it would help the hip armor to have a little bit more structure.
