Rated 3 out of 5 by Liss from Instructions need some work... This is my first time sewing a Simplicity pattern and I have to say I wasn't overly impressed with the instructions. In the end the jacket did turn out nicely (although it looks much better in a fabric with drape vs. the fleece it shows in the envelope photo). A few things I noticed: - The front of the envelope calls out a view "D", which is identical to view "A". View "D" is nowhere to be found on the back of the envelope, instructions or pattern pieces. - Some of the cutting layout instructions were missing view callout - As for the instructions themselves, I was able to assemble the jacket BUT I had to carefully read each line. A lot of the instructions were grouped into paragraphs - maybe this is a Simplicity thing, but it would be easier to follow this pattern if each task was an individual step.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Skippy1 from Terrible! It seems that Simplicity is in competition with McCall's for the worst patter instructions. Steps are not clear. "Ease fullness" - there's an extra 18 inches of material to ease in. Seriously, I've made ruffled skirts with less material. Option D is shown. I called. "That's a mistake. There is no "D". I've been working on this for nearly 2 weeks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by VCVC from Terrible instructions I got stuck on step 7 and have not been able to finish this item. Quite a shame as I love the style pictured on the envelope. Instructions are awful though. Even my architect husband can't figure them out.
