Assembling the Block:
| 1. Use side A of the Simpli-EZ Pineapple™ tool to cut the fabrics as listed in the Fabric Requirements table. The Rotary Cutting Table provides the measurements for each patch. | |
| 2. Using a scant ¼” seam allowance, sew the top and bottom patches of row 1 to the center square. Press seams away from the center square. | |
| 3. Add side patches of Row 1 to center square, and press seams away from center square. | ![]() |
| 4. Use side B of the Simpli-EZ Pineapple™ tool to trim Row 1 patches. Trim all four sides of Row 1. | ![]() |
| 5. Center Row 2 patches right sides together, matching with raw edges of Row 1. Sew top and bottom Row 2 patches to Row 1 and press seams away from center square. | |
| 6. Repeat process, and sew side patches of Row 2 to Row 1, pressing seams away from center square. | ![]() |
| 7. Use side B of the Simpli-EZ Pineapple™ tool to trim Row 2 patches. | ![]() |
| 8. Continue adding odd and even rows of logs by centering patches right sides together in this manner, through Row 9. Always press seams away from center square. | ![]() |
| 9. After the addition of each set of four logs for each row, use side B of the Simpli-EZ Pineapple™ tool trim edges from logs before adding the next row. | |
| 10. After you have sewn Row 9, layout your Simpli-EZ Pineapple™ tool with side B right side up on top of your block. | |
| 11. Use the corner of the ruler with the notched point and the measurement lines to determine the size width strip you will need to cut triangles for the four corners (Row 10); ADD ½” to this measurement (NOTE: once you have added Row 10, you will trim the units as you square up the block). | |
| 12. Cut a strip the width you determined in Step 11 and use the corner of the Simpli-EZ Pineapple™ tool with the notched point to cut four corner triangles. | |
| 13. Add Row 10 triangle units to the four corners of the block. Press seams away from center square. | ![]() |

Assembling the Quilt:
- Sew nine blocks together, in three rows of three blocks across, to form the quilt top.
- Add inner borders; press seams away from quilt top center.
- Add outer borders; press seams away from quilt top center.
- Layer quilt top, batting and backing. Quilt as desired.
- Add binding by hand or machine. Don’t forget to add a label and sign the back of your quilt in permanent ink. Enjoy!
