Quick Crochet Scarf

This scarf works up in a hurry, using a Boye® size Q crochet hook. This pattern makes lots of scarves to use up your scraps and stash. With a mixture of single, double and triple crochet, you’ll have lots of opportunity to practice your stitches.
ABBREVIATIONS
ch = chain; dc = double crochet; sc = single crochet; sts = stitches; tr = triple crochet
MATERIALS
Size Q/15.75 Boye® 8" Crochet Hook 4-5
Skeins (200 yards each, 800-1,000 yards total) of Worsted Weight Yarns
GAUGE
6 sts and 6 rows = 4" in single crochet
DIRECTIONS
With all strands held together, ch 10 sts.
Row 1: Starting with second chain from hook, sc 8 sts across row, being sure not to skip any strands.
Rows 2-4: Ch 1, sc across. (8 sts)
Row 5: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc 7 sts across. (8 sts)
Rows 6-9: Ch 1, sc across. (8 sts)
Row 10: Ch 4 (counts as first tr), tr 7 sts across. (8 sts)
Repeat rows 2-10 until scarf is as tall as the intended recipient. Break yarns. Fasten off. Weave in ends. Add fringe, as desired.
