Stamped Infinity Scarf
Endless style is effortless with this Infinity Scarf, sewn from lightweight knit fabric. Make your own ikat-style print with stamps by Inkadinkado® and fabric paint.

Scarf – finished scarf measures 59" around and 12" deep.

Tips for Stamping:

  • For best results, use fabric stamping on fabrics with a low pile and even weave.
  • Stamp on fabric prior to assembling your scarf.
  • Test stamping on a scrap piece of fabric before stamping your actual scarf fabric – experiment with pressure, amount of paint and direction to get the desired results.
  • You can also use Acrylic craft paint for the widest selection of colors.
  • Use a small foam brush to apply paint evenly on the stamp.
  • After stamping, allow to dry thoroughly, then heat set stamping to make permanent. Use a press cloth and dry iron on medium heat setting. After scarf is heat set it is safe to wash and dry by machine.

Instructions:

  1. Cut one strip of fabric across the full 60" width and 25" wide.
  2. Following manufacturer's directions, stamp RIGHT side of fabric as desired.
  3. Fold fabric in half, with RIGHT sides of fabric facing each other and matching long cut edges. Pin together.
  4. Beginning 3" from one end, stitch long edge in a ½" seam. Stop stitching 3" from other end.
  5. Press seam flat to blend stitches; press seam open.
  6. Turn scarf RIGHT side out.
  7. Open short ends of scarf.
  8. Place short ends with RIGHT sides together, lining up cut edges. Pin together.
  9. Stitch short edges together in a ½" seam.
  10. Press seam flat to blend stitches; press seam open.
  11. Turn scarf so that seam allowances roll to the inside.
  12. Slip stitch opening closed.
