Rated 5 out of 5 by Cat8 from Neat, unique dress that comes together nicely I bought this pattern in a sale (and because it's vintage) and stuck it in stash for a little while. I ended up needing a black dress for when I play concerts (amateur stuff, but it still has a dress code) and I used this pattern. I made the mistake of not prewashing the fabric (a black tencel from Joann Fabric) and it shrank a little when I washed it, but that's not the pattern's fault. However, it does mean that the pattern is fairly fitted, especially in the sleeves. If you're fuller in certain areas (shoulders, biceps, etc.), you should definitely make a muslin. This dress was easy, fun (that neat x in the front and back!), and fits well.
