GAUGE: 3 sts & 4 rows = 4" (10 cm) in sc. Different yarn brands may vary. Take time to check your gauge.
NOTES: Slide each st up to the full circumference of the hook to maintain gauge. Do not join at the end of rounds; work in a spiral.
Rnd 1: 4 sc into 2nd chain. Place marker in last sc to indicate end of rnd and move marker up as work progresses.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around—8 sc.
Rnd 3: *Sc in next sc, 2 sc into next sc, rep from * three more times—12 sc.
Rnd 4: *Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc into next sc, rep from * three more times—16 sc.
Rnd 5: *Sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc into next sc, repeat from * three more times—20 sc.
Rnds 6-10: Sc in each sc around and moving stitch marker up on each rnd.
Rnd 11: Sc into next 4 sc, ch 3, skip 3 sc, sc into next 7 sc, ch 3, skip 3 sc, sc into last 3 sc.
Rnd 12: Sc into next 4 sc, 3 sc into ch-3 space, sc into next 7 sc, 3 sc into ch-3 space, sc into last 3 sc.
Rnd 13: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 14: Sl st in each sc around, join to first sc and fasten off.
Weave in ends.
