ch-chain; dc-double crochet; hdc-half double crochet; rep-repeat; rnd-round; sc-single crochet; sl st-slip stitch; st(s)-stitch(es)
One size: 1-1/2" (4 cm) diameter
- Size 20 crochet thread, colors A and B
- Boye® steel crochet hook size 12 (1 mm)
- Decorative pearl beads
- Boye® hand sewing tapestry needle

Gauge is not crucial for this project.
With A, ch 10, join with slip st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 18 sc in ring, join with sl st to ¬ rst sc – 18 sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 5, skip 2 sc, sc in next sc; rep from * around – 6 loops.
Rnd 3: (Sc, 7 dc, sc) in each loop around – 6 small petals made.
Rnd 4: Holding petals to the front, *ch 5, sl st between next 2 petals; rep from * around – 6 loops.
Rnd 5: (Sc, 9 dc, sc) in each loop around – 6 large petals made. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Leaves (Make 2)
Row 1: With B, ch 14, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in next 7 ch, hdc in next ch, sc in last 2 ch.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 11 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in last st.
Fasten off. Sew leaves to back of rose. Weave in ends. Sew pearl beads to center front of rose.
