GAUGE: 5 sts & 3 rows = 4" (10 cm) in dc. Different yarn brands may vary. Take time to check your gauge.
NOTES: Slide each st up to the full circumference of the hook to maintain gauge.
Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 16 chs, 3 sc in last ch, sc along other side of ea ch to last ch, 3 sc in last ch, join with sl st—40 sc. Place stitch marker in last sc to indicate end of round. Move up as work progresses.
Rnds 2-3: Ch 1, sc into each sc around, join with sl st.
Rnds 4-9: Ch 2 (counts as dc), skip first dc, dc into each st around, join with sl st.
Rnd 10: Ch 3 (counts as tr), skip first dc, tr in next 4 dc, dc in next 2 dc, sc in next 6 dc, dc in next 2 dc, tr in next 10 dc, dc in next 2 dc, sc in next 6 dc, dc in next 2 dc, tr in next 5 dc, sl st into top of ch-3 to join.
Rnd 11: Sl st in each st around. Fasten off.
Join yarn in space between tr and dc, ch 20, join ch to top of bag in space between tr and dc on opposite side of curve, turn, sl st into each chain, join to bag top and fasten off. Repeat for handle on opposite side.
Weave in all ends.
