Pompoms: Follow instructions included with your Boye® PomPom Maker to make various pompoms or cut a piece of cardboard twice as long as the desired size of the pompom and 4" (10 cm) wide. Wrap yarn around cardboard approximately 75 times (the more wraps; the fluffier the pompom will be). Thread yarn needle with 8" (20.5 cm) piece of yarn. Insert needle between cardboard and yarn wraps at top edge. Remove needle and tie yarn tightly around all wraps. Cut wraps at opposite edge to form pompom. Shake pompom to distribute yarn evenly. Trim ends as needed.
To create wreath base, cut a 9" (22 cm) circle from the center of two cake circles then glue circles together.
Wrap ring with cream yarn to completely cover; glue ends to back of ring to secure.
Wrap foam balls with yarn following colors in photo; secure ends with glue.
Position balls evenly around ring and secure in place by using t-pins pushed from the underside to front; use hot glue for added stability.
Make various size pompoms to fill in any empty spaces between balls; glue pompoms to wreath.
Knit a 3" (7 cm) square from rose yarn.
Embellish wreath with knitting needles and knitted square; refer to photo for placement.
